VC 23572 DUI with Minor Passenger

VC 23572: Enhanced DUI Penalties for Having a Minor Passenger

VC 23572 increases penalties for DUIs if you had a passenger under 14 in the vehicle at the time of the offense. California takes this very seriously, treating it as child endangerment.

Penalties in Monterey County

In addition to standard DUI penalties, enhancements include:

First Offense: An additional 48 hours in jail.

Second Offense: An additional 10 days in jail.

Third Offense: An additional 30 days in jail.
